My co-founder, Zayd, and I started the Hikra Initiative because we couldn’t just sit back and watch the UK education system spiral into what feels like its own pandemic—a decline that, funnily enough, really picked up speed after the COVID-19 pandemic. Both Zayd and I grew up in the UK education system, so we know exactly what it’s like. But after traveling and seeing how other countries educate their kids, it hit us: something has to change. We said to each other, “If the government isn’t going to fix this mess, we will.” And that’s how the Hikra Initiative came to life—a way for us to step up and make a real difference for the next generation.

Our team consists of carefully selected educators, who some may say are over qualified, who are then trained personally by us. Hikra will never out-source our tutors and ensure your child has two tutors dedicated to them at a time. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, we follow a specific, tailored protocol designed to help your child succeed, not just academically, but in building confidence and a love for learning. Every step of the way, we’re there to guide your child—whether it’s tackling tricky concepts, preparing for exams, or just staying motivated. To ensure progress continues outside of sessions, we provide you and your child with carefully curated materials to work on at home, reinforcing what they’ve learned and helping them stay ahead of the curve.
